QNAP Setup Guide
Connect Pixette to your QNAP NAS in a few simple steps.
Enable WebDAV
Log in to your QNAP NAS admin panel. Go to Control Panel → Network & File Services → WebDAV. Enable WebDAV and set a dedicated HTTPS port.
Configure shared folder permissions
Navigate to Control Panel → Privilege → Shared Folders. Set 'Shared folder permission' to allow WebDAV access to your Multimedia folder.
Create a dedicated user
Go to Control Panel → Privilege → Users. Create a new user (e.g., 'pixette') with a simple password — avoid special characters for initial testing.
Set user permissions
Grant the new user read-only access to the Multimedia share (or whichever folder contains your photos).
Configure Pixette
Open Pixette on your device and enter your QNAP connection details: URL (https://YOUR_QNAP_IP:PORT), username, and password.
Index and enjoy
Browse to your photo folder, select it, then tap 'Index Now'. Once indexing completes, your slideshow is ready.
Tip
Use a simple password (letters and numbers only) for your Pixette user. Some special characters can cause connection issues with WebDAV.
